The Colorado Thunderbirds, home of the 2009-2010 Tier 1 U16 National Champions, announce coaching line up for the 2010-2011 season.

The Colorado Thunderbirds are proud to announce our head coaches for the 2010-2011 season.  We feel we offer the highest level of coaching from top to bottom.  We are the proud home of Colorado's first Tier 1 National Championship.  All of our 2010-2011 tryout info is posted on our website at www.tbirdhockey.org.  Please click here or on the "2010-2011Tryouts" link on the left side of our website.

The Colorado Thunderbirds provide the benchmark of AAA competition for elite players at the U18, U16, U15, U14, U13, U12 and U11 levels. The Thunderbirds made a huge statement during the 2009-2010 season by having our U18, U16, U14 and U12 teams sweep the District Championships that qualified all four teams for the National tournament in April. These four teams went a combined 18-0 during the District Championships. The U12 team made it to the quarter finals and U16 team went on to capture the 2010 Tier 1 National Championship! We are proud members of the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League for the U18 and U16 teams and Tier 1 Super Series for U14, U13, U12 and U11 teams. We are excited about the renovation of our home facility at Big Bear Ice Arena! Our teams will live in 4 NHL-sized locker rooms. Training will take place in the brand new state-of-the-art 7,500 square foot indoor strength and conditioning training center. The Thunderbirds will have prime time slots for practice and games. In addition to skating at Big Bear, we will also skate out of Family Sports, South Suburban and the Ice Ranch.  

The Thunderbirds offer an elite group of high level coaches that are committed to each player’s development. Our program offers the training that is needed to establish and maintain an elite developmental track for all Thunderbird players. The program is structured to provide players the time needed to excel both academically as well as athletically. The foundation of the program will be based on the core values of accountability, attitude and effort.

2010-2011 Tryouts
The following are dates set for tryouts for the following Colorado Thunderbird AAA Hockey teams. Please check the website for tryout registration information and schedules. Tryout fee is $150 or $125 for returning 2009-2010 T-Bird players.

U18 July 16-18, 2010
Tryouts will commence at 1:00pm on July 16 and conclude by 4:00pm on July 18

U16/U15 July 23-25, 2010
Tryouts will commence at 1:00pm on July 23 and conclude by 4:00pm on July 25

U14/U13 May 28-30, 2010
Tryouts will commence at 1:00pm on May 28 and conclude by 4:00pm on May 30

U12/U11 May 28-30, 2010
Tryouts will commence at 1:00pm on May 28 and conclude by 4:00pm on May 30
