SPRING DEFENSE CLINIC

In this 5 ice time clinic players will work on the skills critical to making good defensemen great, such as skating (specifically pivoting and transitioning), defending, and blue line play. This defenseman specific clinic is designed to help D take their game to the next level!

SPRING CHECKING & SCORING

What: In the 5 ice times players will learn to not only give and receive body checks but they will learn critical skills on puck protection and how to use their body most effectively in game situations at all age levels. Players will also work on critical shooting and goal scoring skills each day!

This offseason, we're proud to announce that we are excited to offer a brand-new Spring hockey experience. This 6 week spring development experience will run from TBD and will be led by Colorado Thunderbirds Tier 1 Coaching Staff, with the Player Development experts from TPH Denver as well as coaches from other associations from across the state of Colorado.
The Program Includes:
- 3 On-Ice practice sessions per week at The Hangar led by Thunderbird coaches, TPH Player Development Specialists and guest coaches
- 2 off-ice training sessions per week at The Performance Den led by Stanley Cup Champion Strength Coach, Casey Bond - the Thunderbirds Head of Sports Performance.
- Weekly Video IQ Sessions
- Player evaluations and data driven testing
- 2 high-level, competitive Spring tournament events

SPRING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
PRACTICES AND WOKOUT SCHEDULE - TBD
Program Dates: TBD
Where: Big Bear Ice Arena & The Performance Den
What: Players will participate in a rigorous but fun 6 week spring development program where players will experience a focus on individual development in a team environment maximizing IQ, athleticism and ultimately impact on the game! The program will have an intense focus on individual skill and hockey IQ development for all players led by Thunderbird and TPH coaches. Players will put their skills to the test in team concepts of play during practice and then ultimately players and teams will compete in two amazing events where players will get to put their practice into game action! Players will have the option to only practice OR practice and play in the spring events! Teams will practice once during the week on Thursdays, and twice on the weekends, once on Saturday and Sundays. Goalies - There will also be a goalie session each week for goalies to learn from TPH Goalie Coach Sergey Liulchuk.
