Kellen is a two-way power forward who isn’t afraid to get in front of the net and go into the corners. He is a hard-working player who is dependable on the defensive zone wall. Kellen is a very fast player who uses his speed to his advantage. His “signature” move is a drive to the far post around a defenseman and leave the puck in front. Kellen encourages the players around him and brings the overall energy up. He is willing to do anything to see the team succeed. He can use some work with how fast he gets his shots off but when he does get it off it is usually pretty hard and accurate. Kellen is a good net-front guy and can tip pucks. He is a fantastic puck retriever and can start plays because of it.
