Head Coaches Announced for 2025-2026 Season

The Colorado Thunderbirds are proud to announce our 2025-2026 roster of Head Coaches for the upcoming Tier I season.

The Thunderbird organization is committed to excellence, consistency, and continuity from our coaching staffs. We will announce further additions to each staff such as assistant coaches as the spring and summer months come. In addition to the head coaches announced below, the TBirds are proud to welcome back Head of Sports Performance Casey Bond, our Goaltending Coach Sergey Liulchuck and Mental Performance Coach Ryan Ford.

Our coaching staff for the 2025-2026 season is highlighted by members of the Thunderbird Director Staff. 14U Head Coach Jordan Pietrus is the current Director of Hockey for the TBirds while 18U Head Coach Phil Patenaude serves as the Director of Operations. Adam Shaner, 16U Head Coach is our Director of Player Personnel. In addition to our directorial staff, we’re proud to bring back Mike Davies as Head Coach of our 15O program — Davies was a member of the 2017 NCAA DI National Champion Denver Pioneers. Player development and education starts early with the TBirds as well — James Angelicola enters his third year as 13O Head Coach and is a regional scout for the North American Hockey League’s Philadelphia Rebels.
